First Day in Maui
We made it to our #babymoon! Corbett and I planned this trip as a sort of "last hurrah," and something super relaxing before things get busy with baby classes, appointments every two weeks, and the home stretch before Baby Klempay comes.
We are splitting our week between two areas of the island, starting off here at Hotel Wailea. It is a Relais and Chateaux property, which we were lucky to fall in love with a sister property in France last year. Every detail is thought out and so nice! We are enjoying our spacious room, pretty design details, gorgeous views, and great pool and food (and drinks for Corbett!) so far.
We planned an early dinner for Sunday night, since Austin is 5 hours ahead and we woke up really early for our travel day.
The hotel's restaurant did not disappoint! We watched the sunset from our table.
We realized while ordering that I might have to be a little careful about all the fresh fish on the menus this week! A lot of the fish to choose from are higher in mercury. I haven't been following "the rules" about food too closely… I have eaten deli meat with abandon, snuck bites of Corbett's spicy tuna rolls, had runny egg yolks, etc. So we figured I will plan to limit myself slight and have poke and mahi mahi a few times through the week.
We went to bed early, and slept like logs. We had woken up at 4 am Austin time for our flight, and this was the equivalent of going to bed at 1 am!
Today's plans: breakfast on the lanai, maybe some exercise for this baby at the pretty gym at the hotel, and beach and pool all day.
Feeling pretty great about this baby, my hubs, and this amazing place. <3
Xoxo
